We are looking for an experienced Capital Equipment, or Software/SaaS Sales manager, to lead an amazing team of both Regional Directors of Sales (Regional Channel Partner Managers with channel-based quotas) and Inside Account Executives (quota carrying individual contributors). Responsibilities:
- You will run a team of both Regional Directors of Sales (Channel Managers) and Account Executives (quota-carrying individual contributors) who are paired up within specific regions and focused on both geographic and account-based sales expansion.
- You’ll help create processes across the team and help regionally-focused teams execute on Channel Ecosystem and Key Accounts strategies so they can exceed revenue targets.
- You will support each sales team member in their overall professional development, their selling skills (discovery calls, deal execution, negotiations, etc.), their channel partner management skills, and their navigation and relationship building with both partners and key accounts. You’ll guide them in improving behavioral skills needed for the role (effective communication, problem solving, time management, account strategy, sales methodology adoption and execution, etc).
- You will develop and maintain a set of metrics to track progress and success of the team and review those metrics with senior management to ensure we're improving.
- You will be responsible for hiring new talent as the talent you develop moves into more senior roles.
- You will partner with your peers in building an onboarding program for Regional Sales Directors and Account Executives as well as continuous training and enablement to help each individual on the team build upon their existing skills to reach their full potential, excelling to the next level.
- You are an effective communicator and inspiring leader, your team’s success is your motivation, you love to coach and have impeccable leadership skills; people want to follow you! You’re also comfortable navigating relationships with channel partner organizations/sales teams and know how to motivate them, lead by example, and enable their success.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 7 years in a sales management function, with experience and shown performance as a people manager of Channel Sales Managers, Account Executives, or both.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- A natural ability to collaborate and working with cross-functional teams to optimize for company outcomes.
- 5 yrs. experience successfully selling capital equipment, SaaS and/or subscription-based software as an individual contributor with success record.
- A deep understanding of what it takes to hire, ramp, and lead and early-stage sales teams and line level sales managers to a high level of performance.
- A good grasp of what it takes to properly target, vet, onboard, ramp, and enable channel partner organizations and hold them accountable on an ongoing basis.
- Will work primarily out of either our Charlotte, NC or our Sacramento, CA office, but fully remote may be considered for the right candidate.
