GENERAL FUNCTION
The Materials Handler 1 restocks merchandise that is warehoused in the Distribution Center for distribution to new and existing stores.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives incoming merchandise/product.
- Processes merchandise/product per the established procedures.
- Stocks merchandise/product to the appropriate location.
- Picks merchandise per the established procedures and replenishment schedule.
- Prepares merchandise for new stores.
- Prepares merchandise for shipment.
- Responsible for any additional duties assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent mathematical aptitude/numerical recognition
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel
- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Ability to use material handling equipment: 2 wheelers, carts, pallet riders and lift pickers
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisors/Manager
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a stand/walk position for up to 10 hours
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
