GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for analyzing and monitoring performance of EssilorLuxottica’s doctor business across all North America optical brands. Actively collaborate and partner with EyeCare Analytics team and brand partners to identify opportunities and create strategic solutions to help leaders meet their goals, as well as monitor and track performance of key strategic initiatives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of operational models for initiatives within the EyeCare Team.
- Oversee the build, development and maintainance of databases, reports, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
- Lead the re-design and automation of current reports which will result in lower human error and build time.
- Identify trends/relationships/insights and make recommendations that can improve business performance and forecasting.
- Utilize technical knowledge and expertise in SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Access/SQL and Excel to streamline all reporting and analytical efforts.
- Challenge business leaders while building relationships and gaining and maintaining respect.
- Communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to senior management.
- Complete work through cooperation with other groups and teams with no direct reporting relationship to position.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in Systems, Business or any other analytical field
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Strategy, Finance or Analytics
- Experience in operational/financial modelling and forecasting
- Technical expertise in databases (SQL, Access), business intelligence tools (SAP Business Objects, Tableau), Excel and Visual Basic Applications (VBA)
- Effective communicator with excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills
- Problem solver, ability to understand root causes and propose solutions for business issues/ needs
- Proven strategic mindset applying critical thinking to complex data
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques such as hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units
- High business acumen
- Self-starter comfortable in an ambiguous, project-oriented environment
- Initiative, drive, service orientation mindset, collaborator, partner and team player
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience in a retail or healthcare environment
- Python/R
