JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Trade Marketing will maximize sales by translating global brand vision into trade specific differentiated approach with nuances by region, channel, customer, defining retailer guidelines and ROI. Taking global brand strategy and developing / tailoring communications to be executed by the field (visuals, events / animation distortion / retailer.com). Identify new areas of opportunity in store and across dot com merchandising (including product page imagery, enhanced content, landing page content, site merch placements, taxonomy, etc.), whilst ensuring brand cohesiveness across all brick & mortar and retailer.com. Serve as thought partner to the VP of global brand marketing with ability to collaboratively make decisions and build a sales driven forever brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plan, develop and implement localized and channel specific marketing strategies and plans that are aligned to global brand objectives and that will increase brand market share
  • Responsible for channel marketing consumer touch points. This includes but is not limited to, merchandising, digital, POS execution, and promotional activities
  • Manage assortment planning, sku mix, and promotional strategies
  • Oversee development and execution of visual merchandising planograms for channels
  • Prepare and present marketing channel presentations and marketing / innovation / promotional calendars by channel
  • Seasonal sample plan and value sets planning and execution
  • Development of marketing specific programs as needed to help increase sales and achieve budget
  • Review price lists to ensure consistency and approve product offerings for distributors
  • Monitor the competition in each region through market surveys, pricing analysis, product comparisons, etc.
  • Have a direct understanding of client needs in each region and edit data and react accordingly. Create a rapport with each client in order to sustain good working relations
  • Regular, proactive management and monitoring of Product Detail Page (PDP) content including titles, text, photos, video, content quality, ratings and reviews, etc. for amplified and incremental retailer.com visibility
  • Initiate, oversee and optimize retailer.com digital campaigns, ensuring maximum ROI

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of Trade Marketing experience for a consumer products company required.
  • Prestige beauty channel experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills and be able to interpret sales, metrics and marketing results.
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial. Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up-style environment
  • Must be 'hands-on' and get involved with the details
  • Extremely organized
  • Great project manager and keen ability to keep projects on track
  • Able to demonstrate leadership and ownership of projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to create high impact presentations. Proficiency in Key Note and In Design a plus.
  • Can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach; personable and flexible with demands and changes in business.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting : Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Reaching : Extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Sitting : Must be able to remain in the seated, stationary position throughout workday.
