Front Loader Driver

Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Loader Driver to join our team at the garden center. The Loader Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials, equipment, and plants for customers, as well as making deliveries to job sites. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload materials, rock, soil, mulch, and other garden products for customers.
• Deliver products to customer locations and job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate a forklift or other loading equipment to move heavy or large items.
• Assist customers with loading products into their vehicles at the garden center.
• Maintain a clean and organized loading area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and properly secured for transport.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with product recommendations.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures when handling materials and operating machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure the garden center's delivery vehicles are clean and well-maintained.
• Help with restocking inventory as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to safely operate loading equipment and delivery vehicles.
• Strong physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Work Environment:

• The position is based at a garden center with frequent outdoor work.
• The role may require working in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
• Some weekend work may be required during peak seasons.
