Position Overview:

The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality management system throughout the organization. They will have a culture of continuous improvement, excellence, and compliance to enhance overall product/service quality. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to define quality objectives, establish quality metrics, and drive improvements across the Company.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective quality management system aligned with industry standards, regulations, and Company requirements.
  • Oversee documentation and revision control of quality-related procedures, work instructions and policies.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes, products, and services and lead initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
  • Utilize problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) to analyze data and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establish quality standards and specifications for products and services in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure their products/services meet the Company’s quality requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Provide training to employees at all levels on quality-related topics and ensure that they understand their roles in maintaining quality standards.
  • Foster a quality-conscious culture and encourage employees to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and certifications.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact quality management.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
  • Perform assigned responsibility as needed.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or another technical field required, or High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of previous experience working in quality with a preference for previously having worked within a production environment.
  • 3 years of experience working within a leadership capacity within the quality field.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5-S, Total Quality Concepts, and Six Sigma.
  • Possess a robust understanding of the IATF and ISO standards and their implementation.
  • Experience with some Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Strong ability to lead through influence.
  • Ability and willingness to uphold the Company Values of Work as ONE, Always Add Value, Take Ownership, Deliver Excellence, and Make Sound Decisions.
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment.
  • Keen ability to operate with with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent Data Analytical Skills.

Work Environment

  • 100% Plant floor (PPE required)
  • Requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Constant communication with employees, peers and management
  • Overtime as required
  • Frequent requirement of handling heavy equipment (operation)
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention to surroundings
