The Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in leading our manufacturing supply chain, from raw material sourcing to delivery of finished goods to customers.
- This position requires close collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish an effective supply chain.
- The manager establishes performance metrics for measuring, comparing, or evaluating factors affecting the supply chain.
- Detailed inventories of materials and supplies are maintained, located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
- The logistics services sourcing and carrier relations are led by this individual.
Key Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager must:
- Analyze current inventories and procedures to suggest improvements that increase efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety, implementing subsequent changes to processes.
- Negotiate prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
- Work closely with purchasing, warehousing, finance, and production teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
