Junior Financial Analyst

Overview

The Junior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the finance team in analyzing and interpreting financial data to inform strategic business decisions. They are responsible for maintaining financial records, conducting data analysis, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and projections
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Support in the development and maintenance of financial models
• Assist in monitoring financial performance and key metrics
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct research and analysis on financial trends and market changes
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis as required
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights
• Assist in identifying cost-reduction opportunities and operational efficiencies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Strong understanding of financial principles and concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations
• Prior internship or entry-level experience in finance or accounting
