The PMO Manager position requires the candidate to be located in the St. Louis office and serve as a key liaison between the company and its clients. This role will oversee Project Management operations for Electric Transmission, Electric Distribution, and Facility projects ensuring alignment with client requirements, regulatory standards, and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support department supervisors in adhering to client processes and expectations.
- Mentor and develop department supervisors, fostering professional growth and skill development.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to ensure alignment with department goals.
- Oversee metrics tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory, corporate, and business function procedures.
- Develop and refine function-specific policies, procedures, and implementation strategies.
- Audit deliverables for Project Management services to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage employee staffing levels, utilization, and workforce planning, making recommendations for hiring or reallocations as needed.
- Identify and develop additional business opportunities with existing clients.
- Foster a positive team culture that aligns with the company's core values and promotes employee engagement.
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Industry experience in utilities, construction, or engineering projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling, monitoring, and updating project schedules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
