Position Classification: Full-Time Administration
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience - Three (3) years inventory control and warehouse experience.
- Skills - Communication skills both oral and written; knowledge in the operation of a fork-lift; demonstrated organizational skills including the ability to organize vast amounts of data; knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements; knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office products; knowledge of computerized inventory control systems.
Manage inventory control of fixed assets on and off campus including tagging of all equipment; manage and control equipment replacement process; coordinate the movement, re-utilization, delivery, destruction, sale and removal of fixed assets; maintain inventory records of fixed assets and prepare reports; utilize purchase orders to locate new fixed assets and update inventory records; conduct inventories and cycle inventories to verify records; order supplies and fixed assets for Inventory Control; insure inventory records comply with state, county, federal and regulatory agency requirements; establish procedures and maintain control of storage and disposal of surplus property and fixed assets; work with the Auditors on compliance requirements of inventory records and reports required by regulatory agencies; assist in developing and implementing departmental supply inventory control systems in conjunction with department heads; conduct periodic reviews to insure the systems are properly maintained; supervise the Shipping and Receiving staff; develop policy and procedures for Central Supply; perform inventory adjustments (quarterly and price variance analysis); assist Departments with developing chemical inventory to insure that MSDS forms are accessible to students and staff; work with Cost Risk Manager from College insurance company on safety concerns and monitor safety training; insure proper storage, marking and disposal of hazardous waste materials; assist Director of Purchasing in obtaining price quotations and bids; manage the operation of fork-lift, pallet jack and van; supervises staff, assigns work and work schedules, adjusts priorities, has final authority on approval/disapproval of leave, conducts performance evaluation of staff makes recommendations for hiring and/or termination and problem resolution.
Entry Salary: $52,814.48Standard Work Week: 35 hours
