Diesel Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and equipment repair, with a focus on diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The Diesel Technician will work closely with other technicians and service personnel to ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Perform diagnostics on diesel engines using advanced automotive diagnostic tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.
• Repair hydraulic systems and components associated with diesel machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and repair purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in diesel repair.

Requirements

• Proven experience in automotive repair, specifically with diesel engines.
• Strong knowledge of equipment repair techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with hydraulics systems and their applications in heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to diesel systems.
• Experience operating farm machinery or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
• Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in diesel technology are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
