About You: We are looking for a dependable Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect and service portable fire extinguishers. The position will require you to handle live communications with clients and others in the Portables Department. The ideal candidate for this position must be mechanically inclined, have an outgoing personality, be organized, and be able to maintain a high level of professional conduct.

Essential Functions:
- Perform inspections, service, and installations on a variety of fire protection equipment with your focus on portable fire extinguishers and emergency/exit lighting. Additional fire protection/life safety equipment as your skills develop.
- Seek out additional sales and service opportunities within existing customer locations and advise the customer of code compliance needs.
- Develop long-term relationships with customers and maintain customer retention.
- Collaborate with our service sales team to identify ways to expand the services we can offer our client base.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge
- Ability to lift 75 lbs , safely use ladders, work overhead and work in tight spaces
- Possess a valid driver's license
- A self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable interacting with external and internal partners in a knowledgeable and helpful manner
- Ability to learn quickly is a must
- Experience with Field Connect software a plus
- Previous experience in pre-engineered fire suppression systems is a plus
Education/Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent
