Position Overview:
We're seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to develop, test, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robot programs for advanced automation systems. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team, ensuring projects meet customer specifications, and supporting system installation and testing from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program PLC, HMI, and robots for automation systems using various control hardware and software (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Denso).
- Work closely with hardware and mechanical engineers on system design and component selection.
- Test electromechanical systems and verify software functionality.
- Provide ongoing support to field service teams and assist with troubleshooting.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and continuously improve software development processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience programming PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots.
- Familiarity with automation components like sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems.
- Proficient in network communications (EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently.
- Experience with industrial automation is a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or a related field preferred but not necessary
