Automation/Controls Engineer

Position Overview:

We're seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to develop, test, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robot programs for advanced automation systems. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team, ensuring projects meet customer specifications, and supporting system installation and testing from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program PLC, HMI, and robots for automation systems using various control hardware and software (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Denso).
• Work closely with hardware and mechanical engineers on system design and component selection.
• Test electromechanical systems and verify software functionality.
• Provide ongoing support to field service teams and assist with troubleshooting.
• Ensure project deadlines are met and continuously improve software development processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience programming PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots.
• Familiarity with automation components like sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems.
• Proficient in network communications (EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently.
• Experience with industrial automation is a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or a related field preferred but not necessary
