We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Estimator with proficiency in Accubid to lead our estimating team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for Battery Energy Storage Systems, Power Plants, and Substations. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for BESS, Power Plants, and Substation projects.
- Utilize Accubid software to develop detailed and competitive estimates, ensuring all project specifications and requirements are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on project scope and objectives.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Review and validate estimates prepared by junior estimators, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the best value for the company.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates reflect current industry standards.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations to support the business development team in securing new projects.
- Continuously improve estimating processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
