Mechanical Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct engineering evaluations, analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimations.
- Perform comprehensive mechanical engineering analysis of existing and new building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with the latest codes and industry best practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of New York State Mechanical, Energy, and Plumbing codes, as well as NFPA regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with energy modeling software (Carrier HAP, TRANE TRACE, or EQUEST), LEED Green Associate certification, and commissioning experience.
Experience, Education, and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience.
- Expertise in designing and analyzing chilled and hot water systems, industrial process-related mechanical systems, building HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Experience with HVAC and plumbing system design for schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial projects is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Professional office setting with collaborative project teams.
- Occasional travel within New York State, approximately 10% of the time.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of computer work.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Some travel to project sites as needed.
