As a Cloud Engineer, you will help maintain our cloud infrastructure. You will implement and maintain the full stack including IAM, server administration, cloud architecture, etc. You will provision new accounts with major cloud service providers and be familiar with their unique managed services and offerings. You'll be working with DevOps Engineers to better increase the agility of the development teams and receive direction from Site Reliability Engineers and Information Security Analysts. The work you do will have a direct impact on the scalability, security, reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of the LVT platform.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Development & Troubleshooting
A Cloud Engineer will know how to automate repetitive tasks using common scripting languages like Python. This person can manage Windows and Linux-based servers including evaluating system resources, reading log files, editing configuration files, and restarting services.
Implement & Integrate
A Cloud Engineer must learn how to manage cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform. Help implement through the development of new features and services within the cloud infrastructure. Expert in documenting various steps and procedures that pertain to their job.
Security & Strategies
The Cloud Engineer can manage the various cloud systems within their purview, including security configurations, patching, and monitoring. The person also helps to maintain system security strategies, policies, and procedures. Works with Site Reliability Engineers to build out the cloud infrastructure using AWS’s Well-Architected Framework.
Strong Drive
Above all, the Cloud Engineer should be driven to continue to learn AWS services, networking, and IAM. The engineer will work closely with Senior Engineers to provide roadmaps, guidance and deliverables to the company.

Education And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other related fields.
- 2 years working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc)
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code templates (Terraform is a plus)
- Working knowledge of information security
- 1 years experience working with CI/CD automation
- Cloud Certification is preferred (AWS certification is preferred)
