What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/ Material Handler position at LVT?

ABOUT THIS ROLE
With this position, every day may look a little different. On occasion you will be tasked with driving a truck under 26,000 lbs to transport essential materials to and from coating vendors and picking up emergency orders. Additionally, you will cross-train to help fill in the gaps as needed in our shipping and receiving department as well as on our assembly line. When driving, you must keep an accurate count of the material delivered to the vendor as well as an accurate count of material received from the vendor.
Preparation for each trip will include an inspection of the vehicle, timely reporting of issues, and the wrapping and loading pallets of materials for delivery.
CDL not required - We will cover drivers getting a class B license after hiring
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transportation of materials from our fabrication building to outside vendors
- Provide and be responsible for Purchase Orders & Invoices
- Be responsible for safe transportation and delivery of materials
- Assist in the Shipping and Receiving department when needed
- Assist with other needs on the assembly floor as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must pass DOT physical
- Must pass a drug test
- 1-3 years driving experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic math knowledge
- Clean driving record
- Must be 21 years or older
