Active Vehicle Barrier Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Full Time Active Vehicle Barrier Technician to Join our Team!
This is Service Contract Act Position and is eligible for Health & Welfare Fringe Benefits.

This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO. Local & National travel of up to 50-75% of the time is required.

Must be able to gain access onto military installations and/or federal buildings (Favorable background check (NAC) required).

Position Summary: The Active Vehicle Barrier (AVB) Maintenance Technician will perform requested duties related to the repair, troubleshooting, replacement and wholesale installation of perimeter physical security systems, to include active vehicle barriers, related hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as logical control systems. Travel to client site to perform both routine preventive maintenance as well as corrective maintenance on emergency and routine calls. Liaise with on-site personnel as needed to ensure timely performance of work, as well as proper access to the site. If needed, provide traffic control or other measures necessary to ensure a safe working environment on site at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Description of Required Task/Qualifications:

• Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. College coursework or technical training in electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems desired. Experience as a Navy/Coast Guard/Army hydraulics/electrical systems technician a plus. Demonstrated work experience with Active Vehicle Barriers a strong plus.
• Must be able to travel anywhere within the United States, via airplane, or vehicle (POV or Rental).
• Position requires a background check to include a DMV report, current and valid driver’s license.
• Position requires, lifting, bending, crouching, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 50 to 85 pounds if necessary.
• Must be able to gain access onto military installations and/or federal buildings (Favorable background check (NAC) required).
• Technician maybe required to obtain/and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Compensation: Pay is commensurate to the wage determinate information for El Paso County.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.63 - $25.00 per hour
