Job Description

Student intern responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting and often taking the lead in planning, writing and designing content for a variety of internal and external audiences including employees, agents, policyholders and the general public such as blog posts, intranet articles, and emails
- Proofing and editing existing documents and communications
- Social media management and monitoring
- Traditional and digital media monitoring
- Project management including, but not limited to, internal marketing support requests
- Software system management including, but not limited to, survey software, email distribution software
- Creative conceptualization, graphic design and document layout
- Website content development and management
- Research and data analysis
- Administrative duties and general office duties as needed to support projects and overall team
- Photographing a variety of company events (equipment provided)

- Majoring in a related field (e.g., communications, advertising, or public relations)
- Understanding of the basic principles marketing and communications
- Knowledge of AP Style writing
- Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity and some level of proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, etc.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and management tools
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Effective time management skills
