Position Summary: Actively monitors LX Hausys Autoskins production processes against Technical Standards and Processing Parameters to ensure product conformance to customer requirements. Gathers samples and conduct tests on raw materials, WIP and finished goods to ensure product conformance to customer requirements. Reviews data and/or samples incoming product to ensure conformance of supplied raw materials to specification. Ensures conformance of the production process to Quality Management System requirements.
Role Description: Provide support to the production process by ensuring process/product requirements are followed during the product realization process. Ensure product/testing conformance to customer and internal processing requirements at each stage of the manufacturing/testing process by collecting data and conducting relevant testing. Inform production management of non-conformance and assist in corrective action activities when deemed appropriate by the Quality Manager. Ensure that the policies, guidelines and standards within the Quality Management System are adhered to and systemic integrity is maintained.
Responsibilities:
· Verify metered sample from each jumbo roll to insure quality standards and procedures are met · Keep checks on product throughout the production process in its various stages to circumvent potential defects
· Bond strength testing conducted on product along with various other tests to meet lot requirements
· Process audit sheets completed and updated to daily shift report of all materials produced for shift
· Verify proper testing and sampling procedures are followed and take action in the event of nonconformance with action documented
· Generate, analyze and record data relative to the decision making of acceptance or failure of product and process improvement
· Calibrate various equipment and keep updated
· Conduct QMS audits as deemed necessary
Qualifications:Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:
Education and Work Experience:
· GED or High School Diploma preferred
· Previous manufacturing experience highly desired
· 2 Years’ experience in quality role preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
· Working knowledge of the LX Hausys Autoskins Quality Management System Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis
· Understands basic measurement, units of conversion and able to take measurements
· Detail-oriented and able to accomplish goals without direct supervision
· Capable user of Microsoft Office Suite
· Critical eye in regards to anomalies, differentiations and color values
· Able to communicate with various departments and diverse co-workers in regards to quality
· Keen insight as to what can cause potential product failure and correction of that problem before a large quantity is contaminated
· The ability to remain calm and think clearly in time sensitive stressful atmosphere
Physical Demands:
· Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer for at least 2/3 of time
· Position requires minimal lifting up to 50lbs.
· Position requires regular and reliable attendance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.75 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
