Human Resources Assistant Manager – Clarksville, TN
Core Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment efforts for regular and temporary positions, including scheduling interviews and performing necessary procedures such as background checks and drug screenings for new hires.
- Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate training programs.
- Process payroll for all employees using the ADP Workforce system on a bi-weekly basis.
- Generate payroll reports and conduct regular payroll analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Track and monitor attendance for both regular and temporary employees.
- Conduct monthly payroll expense closing, including processing relevant payroll-related costs (e.g., payroll processing fees, temporary agency invoices).
- Prepare billing invoices and upload them to the Company’s system for Customer Company charges.
- Act as a key business partner between management and employees, addressing inquiries, handling complaints, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on employee relations matters.
- Assist with all necessary documentation and ensure fair and compliant processes.
- Maintain and enforce employment policies, compensation structures, employee benefits, performance evaluations, and other HR programs.
- Administer recruitment and exit processes, including the setup of ID badges, laptop accounts, and other employee requirements.
- Administer and maintain records for safety policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.
- Manage Workers' Compensation and safety claims in collaboration with Operations Management.
- Ensure compliance with unemployment compensation documentation and represent the company in related matters.
- Lead the performance evaluation process, ensuring employees receive clear, constructive feedback. Enforce performance standards to maintain accountability and foster professional growth.
- Perform additional HR tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall HR function.
Requirements:
- Strong ability to analyze HR data, including payroll trends, employee turnover, and performance metrics to drive improvements in HR processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in using ADP Workforce for payroll processing, generating reports, and ensuring payroll compliance.
- Proven experience managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and guiding employees and management through HR-related issues.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree (HR Management preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 3 years of HR management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal labor laws is a plus.
- Proficiency in both Korean and English preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to work outside of regular business hours when needed.
