The Lycée Français de New York is seeking a dedicated Substitute AP U.S. History Teacher to teach a group of Year 11 high school students from January 6 to March 31, 2025. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in AP U.S. History, ensuring a continued and enriching learning experience for the students.
Schedule:
- Monday: 11:55 AM - 12:45 PM (every other week)
- Tuesday: 2:35 PM - 4:15 PM
- Wednesday: 1:45 PM - 3:25 PM
Skills:
- Advanced Knowledge of U.S. History: Strong background in U.S. History, with an understanding of key historical events, themes, and AP-level curriculum
- Previous experience teaching AP U.S. History curriculum
- Ability to effectively follow lesson plans and adapt them if needed, especially if materials or schedules change.
- Ability to engage students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Effective classroom management skills
- Familiarity with educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, digital presentations, online quizzes, etc.). Proficient in integrating technology into the classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation:
- $110 per teaching period, up to a maximum of $330 per day
