What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Ecommerce position at Lyca Mobile Group ?
This is a newly created role reporting into the Board.
You will be responsible to :
Lead and manage Lycamobile’s digital acquisition channels, ensuring alignment with business goals and targets. Oversee campaign performance across paid media, social media, affiliates, and SEO to drive gross adds. Validate daily deliverables from JSM and ensure they align with cost-effectiveness and strategic objectives. Team Onboarding and Development :
Recruit and onboard an in-house digital team, including : Social Media Manager Content Creator Paid Media Manager SEO Specialist Affiliates Specialist Develop role-specific KPIs and ensure the team is equipped to take over operational responsibilities from external agencies. Customer Journey Optimization :
Evaluate and optimize Lycamobile’s website customer journey to enhance user experience and increase conversions. Benchmark against market competitors and implement best practices to improve digital touchpoints. Agency Monitoring and Evaluation :
Monitor and validate JSM’s performance, ensuring daily activities meet business goals and deliver value for spend. Benchmark JSM’s commercial terms and services against other leading digital agencies in the telecom sector. Provide actionable recommendations based on a thorough evaluation of alternative agencies. Performance Measurement & Reporting :
Regularly analyze and report on digital acquisition performance metrics, including ROI and gross adds. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize campaign outcomes. Ensure timely resolution of all identified challenges impacting performance. Stakeholder Collaboration :
Work closely with internal stakeholders to address issues promptly and align digital initiatives with broader business goals. Act as a key liaison between Lycamobile and JSM to ensure seamless communication and execution of strategies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Gross adds achieved through digital channels. Successful onboarding of the in-house digital team within the consulting period. Improvement in website customer journey metrics (e.g., conversion rates, bounce rates). Effective cost management and maximized ROI on digital spend. Streamlined processes for collaboration between the in-house team and external agencies. Qualifications :
Demonstrated expertise in digital acquisition and sales within telecom or related industries. Proven ability to recruit, onboard, and manage high-performing digital teams. Experience optimizing website user experiences and conversion rates. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating agency performance and spend. Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO platforms, affiliate networks). Key Traits :
