Job Requirements:
- Available to be on call in a rotation for weekends, 8 hour day with occasion for longer shifts to complete repairs
- Meet physical requirements of the position
- No fear of heights
Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and repair services in more than one craft such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and mill-wrighting at a relatively simple level.
- supported by specialists or outside contractors as needed.
- sound understanding of maintenance including building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained.
- Typically requires apprenticeship training in one craft, seasoned by practical experience, and some training in one or more additional craft areas appropriate to the particular environment.
- Works from verbal, written instructions, blueprints, and sketches.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
- Applies skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to adjust, repair, disassemble, replace, and reassemble equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance routines and inspections.
- Utilizes hand tools and common shop machinery. Assists specialists in making more complex repairs.
- maintenance support tasks to aid maintenance personnel covering mechanical, electrical, civil, and other trades.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- 3 year's experience with hand tools, repairs, work with building repair, machine repair
- experience in maintenance depts in Manufacturing preferred
- experience in a trade such as welding, plumbing, electrical is a plus
