Lydech Thermal Acoustical Solutions (TAS) manufactures industrial thermal insulating solutions, and thermal and acoustical barriers for heat abatement and sound dampening applications.  Lydech TAS serves a number of markets with the majority of products sold to original equipment manufacturers and tier-one suppliers. The company serves customers via manufacturing operations and sales offices in North America, Europe and Asia.  Lydech TAS offers a full line of innovative engineered products to assist in noise and heat abatement within the automotive and industrial markets. The business manufactures acoustical damping and thermal insulating solutions comprised of fiber and metal based composite product constructions. These products are typically found in the interior (dash insulators), underbody (wheel well, fuel tank, exhaust) and under hood (engine compartment) of passenger vehicles, heavy duty trucks, recreational vehicles as well as in other industrial applications. The segment employs approximately ~1400 employees with operations in the U.S., Germany, France and China.

Job Summary:

Continuous manufacturing production & inspection on production line.  Primary responsibility will be the inspection of parts, material packing and operation of production line machinery while safely meeting production rates & improvement targets. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect product going into and out of the process
  • Read & follow manufacturing orders, control plans, SOP’s, safety requirements
  • Pack and place finished parts per customer requirements
  • Perform minor machine settings based on product specifications for set-ups and production run
  • Support and maintain the world class manufacturing system (including 6S, Kaizan, waste, safety, SMED, Kanban, and mistake-proofing)
  • Adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
  • Work extended and overtime hours when required

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

  • High school, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Must have ability to follow ERP job data and product labels in addition to completing paperwork / traceability requirements to ensure accurate material transactions.
  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening requirements
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Must be able to use measurement devices
  • Must possess good math skills

Sedentary Work:  Lifting 10 lbs. Maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as computers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Repetitive motion of hand and finger movement to manually input data using a keyboard or to assemble parts may be required for up to eight hours a day.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Medium Work:  Lifting 50 lbs. Maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of object weighing up to 25 lbs.

Modified Duty:  This role can be modified to lift few/one part at a time making the lifting requirement no more than 5 lbs. routinely. 

Heavy Work:  Lifting 100 lbs. Maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of object weighing up to 50 lbs.

Close Vision:  Clear vision at 20” or less.

Distance Vision:  Clear vision at 20’ or more.

Peripheral Vision:  Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point.

Depth Perception:  Three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.

Ability to Adjust Focus:  Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
