Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the safety of technical trades employees along with direct supervising, directing work assignments and review of work performance of Tool & Die and Maintenance personnel across three shifts in a metal stamping environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety policies are followed throughout the facility
- Assign employees to specifical tasks
- Ensure PM’s completed on machinery and equipment
- Ensure PM’s completed on Dies
- Respond to production related issues to support product output
- Communicate daily with Production counterparts to identify critical needs
- Author and distribute concise lineups to other shifts
- Must be able to work extended hours when required
- All other duties as assigned
Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities for Consideration as a Candidate:
- Engineering or Technical Degree strongly preferred
- Associates degree and/or equivalent experience required
- Experience in a technical supervision role required
- Metal Stamping Die knowledge including press feeder systems strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Mechanical Stamping Press Operation strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Mathematical aptitude
- Computer experience (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Computer proficiency (above average) required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
