What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Lydia Home Association?
Job Summary : Performs maintenance and repairs related to buildings, grounds, and equipment, in one more areas such as electrical, plumbing, painting, and grounds-keeping.
Responsibilities :
1. Establishes, monitors, and carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment and grounds.
2. Ensures building and equipment meet safety, security, fire regulations and
policies.
3. Makes recommendations for major repairs and purchases to supervisor.
4. Performs carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs such as repairing furniture, constructing shelves, installing switches, replacing plugs, and other basic appliance repairs. Applying paint and other finishes, repairing drywall, disassembling, and reassembling equipment, replacing finishing material such as linoleum.
5. Cleans external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks, and parking lots using
Manual and power brooms, rakes, shovels, and other equipment to remove
dirt, leaves, snow and other refuse.
6. Performs minor gardening and lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing,
Weeding, pruning and watering.
7. Completes and maintains related records such maintenance logs and
security incident reports.
8. Performs other related duties as required.
9. Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
10. Must support the mission of Lydia Home.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED certificate
General construction or prior facilities maintenance
Specialized experience with plumbing, electricity, and HVAC maintenance
Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
Mechanical skills
Attention to detail
Ability to regularly lift items over 50-100lbs.
Valid driver's license
Be able to pass background checks
