Lydia Home Combined Program is a non-public residential school for students with learning disabilities and severe behavior disorders located in Evanston Illinois. Lydia Home students receive quality differentiated instruction in a small instructional setting.

Supervisory Responsibilities : Teacher will oversee students in a residential school setting with a small student to teacher of no more than ration 9 : 1 within a secure facility.
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating student academic performance to ensure instructional effectiveness. They conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and assess student performance against predefined standards and objectives.
We are seeking a teacher that assures student learning by engaging them during instruction, lectures, and student activities using differentiated instructional practices , visual aids, and other materials to supplement academic presentations. Teachers will lesson plan and prepare course objectives that are aligned to students current IEP by following school curriculum guidelines that are aligned with the academic requirements of ISBE. Teacher will teach Common Core Standards, assign lessons and correct student work on a regular basis.Teacher will administer tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents / home school / court personnel of progress.
Teachers must be willing to learn the curriculum and use it effectively during instruction and assess students on their progress.
