Position Title : Human Resources Director Job Classification : Exempt Type of Position : Full-time Location : Williamstown, NJ Reports to : Vice President of Finance Requirements : 7 years of progressive experience working in the HR field Education : Bachelor’s degree required. Position Overview : The HR Director oversees the administration of our HRIS system including processing our weekly payroll, onboarding new employees, terminating employees, updating personnel records, benefits administration, and recruiting functions within the platform. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, & local laws and updating senior leadership on new developments. Additional responsibilities include administration of our annual benefits open enrollment campaign, as well as supporting managers and employees with HR, Payroll, and employee relations concerns. Key Competencies : Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 7 years of progressive experience working in the HR field Experience in payroll processing Experience in benefits administration Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance regulations Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interface with staff at all levels Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and present to Executive Management Key Responsibilities : Oversee administration of Human Capital Management System, including : Weekly payroll processing and analyzing payroll data Onboarding new employees and maintaining the electronic onboarding process Timely terminations Benefits – open enrollment, new hire enrollments, and life events Posting and maintaining requisitions for recruiting across all locations Supervise two direct reports Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and educate managers on new developments when necessary Ensure employee notices and forms are current Assist with open enrollment roll-out and employee messaging, as well as tracking participation throughout the process and ensuring updates are communicated properly to the carriers Facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures Provide support to managers for all HR and Payroll related issues Facilitate employee relations concerns Maintain department records and reports Participate in developing departmental goals and objectives Ability to monitor HR and Payroll analytics and communicate findings to management Special projects as assigned Physical demands, work environment, and attendance requirements : The physical demands, work environment, and attendance requirements characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
