Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive and focused health assessments, including physical exams and history reviews.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and infections across all age groups.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications when appropriate.
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and abscess drainage.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory studies.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex case management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical system.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in urgent care and primary care medicine.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Valid state license to practice as an FNP
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine needed
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication, patient education, and teamwork abilities
