We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support multiple Outpatient Orthopedic facilities in Nassau County, New York. We provide therapists with access to an outstanding continuing education program and offer above-average benefits.
- Full-time :
- Monday-Friday, 7a-3 : 30p or 8a-4 : 30p
- Pay :
- Open to discussion - mainly based off years of experience in the field and role.
- Physical Therapist Assistant License / Certificate upon hireTasks -
- Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and / or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs / self management and assistive equipment.
- Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues.
- Reviews available medical records and obtains pertinent medical history from patient or family.
- Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment tool(s).
- Determines plan for care, and / or appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve stated goals.
- As appropriate / required, completes required outcome tools and any additional documentation for outpatients, acute stroke patients and for specialty units / programs
- Utilizes available resources (equipment, support personnel, educational resources) to maximize efficiency and productivity and to meet personal developmental needs.
