200 Day position
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Georgia Media Specialist Certificate (P-12)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prompt and regular attendance.
- Assists in developing and implementing building media policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the building media committee and plans the school media program.
- Implements media policies and standards.
- Supervises the proposal of the media department budget.
- Assists applicable personnel in planning for system-wide and building level program development.
- Creates and fosters a climate that motivates effective utilization of media facilities, resources, and services.
- Plans and implements media related professional development activities.
- Manages the acquisition, processing, organization, circulation, maintenance, and inventory of media resources.
- Informs users of media center services and resources.
- Assists teachers and other personnel in designing instructional and learning experiences.
- Assists in student recognition and competitions as directed.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Superintendent of Schools.
