Job description:
Your tasks and responsibilities
- A self-motivated individual that displays passion, optimism, and an outstanding work ethic
- Must be detail oriented, professional, patient, and a team player.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment and the ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection on a variety of intricate and precision machined, sheet metal and formed tube parts. Advanced GD&T knowledge is required
- Perform and maintain records for calibration of hand tools to NIST Standards.
- Ability to review, edit and generate inspection reports.
- Read and comprehend written documents such as work instructions and job aids.
- Knowledge of proper inspection techniques required to obtain accurate measurements.
- Ability to support business needs as they apply to attendance, overtime, punctuality, and shift.
- Overtime and Weekends as needed.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of previous inspection experience required, Aerospace required.
- Have strong math skills.
- Must be able to accurately use and read measuring tools such as comparators, micrometers, calipers and indicators.
- Have strong Manual CMM and surface plate lay-out skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Understanding of quality systems requirements. (AS9100, ISO9001 etc.)
- Good interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.
