Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant
Job Description: The behavioral health administrative assistant is the first line of communication between Lynch Wellness team members, clients, and outside providers/facilities. They can answer questions or provide general information about the practice and client care. The behavioral health administrative assistant is responsible for the keeping and updating of client and team member records. Must posses computer skills to create excel spreadsheets, word processing, and other programs relevant to practice needs in order to complete required tasks this includes support with billing and insurance. Must have excellent communication and people skills. Must be organized, able to multi-task, and work well under pressure.
Duties: Receive incoming visitors, answer and screen phone calls, forward messages to appropriate staff members, formulate and respond to emails, maintain office material inventory, schedule meetings/events, maintain daily task log, and assist with client care. Carry out administrative duties such as writing meeting minutes, maintaining appropriate filing systems,making travel arrangements, typing, copying, faxes, binding, scanning etc. Complete operational requirements by scheduling and completing administrative projects that will expedite work results. Provide day to day support with coordination of client care and administrative needs including client chart management. Must engage the public in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner in all situations, complete initial client intake process, developprogram flyers, engage LWPG social media platforms. Perform duties assigned by the President or Director of Clinical Operations, adhere to the mission, vision, and values of LWPG.
Skill set: Strong communication and written skills, office administration, data entry, problem solving, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, proper etiquette, able to work independently, resourceful, crisis management, basic knowledge of DSM 5 diagnostic criteria and substance use is a plus, mental health/behavioral health directives, coordination skills, confidentiality, adaptability, multi-tasking, team Player, organization skills, time management, knowledge of HIPAA.
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience working in the behavioral/mental health/ substance-use field (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
