POSITION SUMMARY
The Miscellaneous Game Worker for the High School Athletic Program is responsible for performing various tasks during game days and athletic events, including but not limited to ticket sales, event setup and teardown, crowd control, scoreboard operation, and other assigned duties. Additionally, this position will serve as a mini-bus driver for transporting teams, equipment, and staff to and from athletic events as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with event setup, including field or court preparation, seating arrangements, and equipment distribution.
- Perform various game-day roles such as ticket sales, scoreboard operation, announcing, and crowd management.
- Support concession operations or assist with event clean-up as required.
- Drive a mini-bus to transport students, coaches, and equipment to and from athletic events, ensuring safety and compliance with district policies.
- Maintain communication with coaching staff and athletic department personnel regarding transportation logistics and event assignments.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, district policies, and state regulations regarding student transportation.
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately, including assisting with evacuations, injuries, or mechanical issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in event operations, school athletics, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; must meet district and state requirements for operating a mini-bus.
- Prior experience driving a mini-bus or similar vehicle preferred.
- Must pass a background check as required by district policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of high school athletic programs, events, and general game-day operations.
- Understanding of safe driving practices and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and the public.
- Ability to operate a scoreboard, ticket booth, and other event-related equipment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

- Frequent local travel is required for transporting teams, coaches, and equipment.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on athletic event schedules.
