FLSA Status : Non-exempt Grant funded postition Site / Location : Paul Munro Elementary School Reports to : Building Administrator Date : 12 / 03 / 2024 POSITION SUMMARY

  • To provide intervention to students based on identified deficits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides intervention services to students that are not achieving success through regular classroom instruction.
  • Reading teacher 10 hours a week. Days and hours are flexible
  • Provides individualized or small group instruction to children that focus on specific skill deficits.
  • Implements frequent progress monitoring to determine the effectiveness of intervention services.
  • Provides diagnostic services for students who have demonstrated a lack of progress with conventional intervention strategies and programs.
  • Provides individualized remediation / tutorial services based upon the diagnostic assessment.
  • Works with the building lead coach to support teachers and students in reading instruction.
  • Supports the overall reading program in the building as directed by the building principal.
