Lynchburg Hillcats On Field Emcee
There will be one On Field Emcee for the 2025 season. The position entails the following responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for enhancing the fan experience at Bank of the James Stadium through strategic fan engagement, sponsorship fulfillment, contributing to the ballpark atmosphere, and helping to unite the Hillcats community
- Show a professional on-field presence that contributes to overall experience at the ballpark
- Exhibit engagement energy that resonates with fans of all ages
- Work with the marketing team to execute promotional content and sponsorship fulfillment
- Adapt to the dynamic nature of live promotions and stressful situations
- Find innovative ways to engage crowd to enhance the experience
- Effectively communicate on and off the field
- Work within the Marketing team to utilize and maximize the use of the team mascot
- Participate in pre-game Game Operations Production Meetings
- Support the building of a diverse culture that enriches the lives of our employees, guests, partners and communities
- Embrace a culture of inclusion where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued and heard
- Enrich lives by creating winning experiences and timeless memories
- Assist in all tarp pulls before, during, and after games
- Other duties as assigned

- Passion for game day entertainment
- Basic understanding of baseball and flow of the game
- Willingness to be a member of a dynamic team and work collectively to achieve team goals
- Flexibility in work hours, including availability for some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Confident, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate a passionate commitment to the business
- Passion for engaging with small and large crowds to help the overall fan experience
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and operate in stressful situations
- Must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
- Must display strong public speaking skills
- Candidates are required to have their own means of transportation
- Candidates are required to have their own housing in the area
