What are the responsibilities and job description for the 5th Grade Teacher Long Term Substitute position at Lyndon Town School?
The Kingdom East School District seeks a long term substitute to join our fifth grade teaching team in the role of science educator. The long-term substitute will be part of a collaborative team utilizing best practice in assessment and instruction to deliver services within a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), based on identified student need. Experience with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), the Science and Engineering Practices (SEP's), and the 5E model are beneficial but not necessary. This position will work closely with an instructional team, including 5th grade teammates, KESD Instructional Coaches, the Principal, and the KESD Director of Innovation and Learning.
Lyndon Town School strives to offer a highly collaborative, student-centered learning environment which allows plenty of opportunity for outdoor and experiential education, project based learning, and a development of a sense of place. Experience with Responsive Classroom, and PBIS is beneficial, but not necessary.
