Our client in the Philadelphia, PA area is looking to hire a Stand-up Forklift Operator for their location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting, stacking, and organizing goods using material handling equipment. This is a Cold storage facility position with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 35°F. The Day-to-Day:
- Operate stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move, load, and unload products throughout the warehouse.
- Transport pallets to and from designated areas while ensuring product integrity.
- Perform pre-operational safety checks on equipment before each shift.
- Accurately pick, store, and organize products according to warehouse protocols.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure proper labeling and placement of products to maintain efficient warehouse flow.
- Follow all safety regulations and operational procedures.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines and warehouse safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to complete daily operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift and electric pallet jack certification preferred.
- Prior experience operating stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
- Experience in a cold storage environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Pay Rate:
- $18.00 /hr
Schedule:
- Sunday to Thursday (10:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
- Monday to Friday (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM)
