Our client in Charlisle, PA is seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee and manage daily operations within our production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, leadership, and process improvement. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining a high standard of safety, quality, and efficiency.
The Day-to-Day:
- Supervise and manage the production team, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to company standards.
- Coordinate and monitor production activities to ensure that production goals are met and timelines are adhered to.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify and resolve production-related issues to minimize downtime and increase operational efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff to improve skills and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments, including quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure that production has the necessary materials to meet demand.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including work orders, production schedules, and team performance reports.
Qualifications:
- Food manufacturing background is a must
- Proven experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
- Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations in a production environment.
Pay Rate/Shifts:
- $21.00 /hr
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
