Overview
Lynker is seeking a Software Engineer to join our development team. This role will focus on enhancing and maintaining the Java-based software, improving system efficiency, and ensuring robust documentation. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with a full-stack web development environment, have expertise with technologies such as Java Spring framework and Angular, and collaboratively work with a diverse development and quality assurance team.
Responsibilities
Duties of the Software Engineer will include the following:
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions- Write well-designed, testable code- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures- Document and maintain software functionality- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems- Deploy applications and evaluate end-user feedback- Comply with project plans and industry standards and best practices- Ensure software is continuously updated with the latest features and security patches
- Evaluate, analyze, and modify moderately complex application programs
Qualifications
The Software Engineer selected should have the following:- Experience with VS Code and Eclipse development environments- Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, and HTML languages- Experience with Java Spring Framework and Angular- Disciplined with Subversion and Git version control- Experience with software deployments using Jenkins- Proficiency with Linux interactive shell (Bash) and shell scriptingThe Ideal Software Engineer will have the following:- SAS and R familiarity- Experience with Qlik Sense Enterprise- Familiarity with data analytics
