Lynn Engineering is looking for its next Client Relations Specialist. We’re an Engineering company specializing in civil, land development, and structural engineering plans and inspections. On the Texas coast we provide windstorm engineering and inspections, which is where our Client Relations Specialists are the face of what we do.

Here's what you can expect working at Lynn Engineering:

Clients are our partners, part of our team, and we treat them as such. As our Client Relations Specialist (CRS), you need to not only like people, but LOVE talking to them. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill Customer Service role. We expect you to go beyond a “Hi, how are you?” and treat our partners the Lynn Engineering Way where standards are different than most. We build relationships first, and business follows.

As a CRS, answering phone calls and emails will be the main duty of your position. You’ll need to be able to communicate well in words, in numbers, in emails, over the phone, in person, with clients, with employees, in a box with fox, in a house with a mouse… I think you get the picture. We provide in-depth training on windstorm engineering inspections and processes, so you’ll be confident in what you’re communicating.

Do you miss details often? Maybe this isn’t the job for you. You will be responsible for inputting job information and notes daily where details are crucial to our Engineers and Processing team. In the engineering line of work, misinformation can lead to liabilities and lawsuits, so we triple check things here!

Organization is the name of the game here. We’ll count on you to be organized and efficient in filing paperwork, setting up windstorm inspection routes and following up on job statuses. You’ll need to be able to balance calls, emails, job input, job tracking, scheduling, and walk-in clients.

You gotta roll with the punches. No, not literal punches but things do change rapidly around here. You need to be flexible, positive, and adaptable with changes in processes, clients, scheduling, and most everything else.

Excuses don’t sit well around here. Who’s got the ball? You do? Nice work.

There’s no I in LynnGroup, you’ll need to work with a team of Engineers, Drafters, Inspectors and other Client Relations Specialists. We treat each other respectfully but most important- know we all need to work cohesively together to get the job done right.

This is an office-based role and will require standing and/or sitting for long periods. The position occasionally requires stooping, kneeling, and crouching to file. This full-time position is based in our Bay City, TX office location. Office hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-12pm Friday.

Education / Qualifications

• 1-2 years in customer service role
• Ability to write and read Business English
• Proficient in typing, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong professional work ethic and attention to detail
• Commitment to quality
• Positive attitude and great communication skills
