*This is a long-term substitute assignment starting January 2024 through June 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current MA Board of Allied Health Professions license in Occupational Therapy.
- Good computer/technology skills with the willingness to learn new platforms.
- Ability to travel between buildings during a school day.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
- Adhere to all Federal, state and district regulations and procedures.
- Evaluate students using appropriate tests and interpret findings.
- Write comprehensive evaluations and have available for parents two days prior to the meeting upon request.
- Participate in Team meetings to develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and effectively convey information to parents and the school team.
- Provide appropriate recommendations for treatment and develop appropriate IEP goals based on student needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students on caseload and coordinate scheduling with other school personnel.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Collect and document students’ progress through progress monitoring and observation.
- Modify/grade intervention strategies based on student performance.
- Report on student achievement by writing progress reports (per reporting period) and completing annual reviews for each child on caseload.
- Perform Medicaid billing.
- Communicate and consult with school staff, parents, administration, and physicians.
- Perform supervision with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
