You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote employee health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Record physical findings and formulate plans and prognoses based on patients' conditions.
- Provide written home-going instructions and patient education.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Prescribe or recommend medications and other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy or related therapeutic procedures.
- Refer patients to physicians or specialized healthcare resources for treatment as necessary.
- Maintain medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) software.
- Educate and coach nursing staff on best practices.
- Master's degree from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted license in North Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in occupational health, urgent care, or primary care settings.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Preferably EPIC.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
