POSITION DESCRIPTION

Meat Cutter

(Prefer experienced candidate and will pay based on Experience.)

Function of Position:

The meat cutter is responsible to the Meat Manager for the cutting and trimming of meat products according to store standards and processing of other meat department products.

Major Responsibilities:

• Inspect, cut and trim meat according to store quality and cutting standards.
• Knowledgeable of handling, preparation, and cooking methods for each product.
• Stock fresh, smoked or frozen meat cases.
• Rotate products and control freshness of all products in coolers, freezers and retail cases as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in customer service requests and special orders.
• Consistently Deliver Excellent Customer Service:Maintain the highest level of Customer Service and be a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful associate not only to our customers and vendors but also being supportive and helpful to each other as Lynn’s, Inc. Team.
• If a customer asks where something is please take them to the product. Greet customers as you approach them in the store, smile friendly and greet them and don’t forget to Thank them for Shopping at Lynn’s.Remember a customer is not an interruption of our work but they are the purpose of our work.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment.
• Prepare fresh ground meats daily per store standards for freshness and quality.
• Responsible for Maintaining Fresh Ground Meat Grinding Logs
• Receive and inspect product and supply deliveries.
• Assist department manager with cross merchandising and seasonal promotions.
• Assist with department inventories as directed.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor (as appropriate).
• Comply with all applicable safety and security polices as set by Company, local, state and federal government.
• Comply with all Company policies in the performance of assigned duties and tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of Company matters.

Requirement:

Must be 18 years of age

Must be an experienced Meat Cutter
