POSITION DESCRIPTION
Store Manager
Function of Position:
The Store Manager is responsible to the Operations Manager for operating the store according to all Company policies, procedures and operational guidelines as set forth in the Lynn’s, Inc. & Affiliates Administrative Manual. The Store Manager is responsible to implement and maintain high levels of customer service within the store and to achieve budgeted goals through effective management of store personnel and facilities. The Store Manager’s position encompasses both operational and administrative duties.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the store’s operational budget for corporate approval.
- Manage the personnel and facility to achieve budgeted goals.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service.
- Competitive awareness of all major competitors in the store’s market area.
- Assure proper maintenance of store equipment and facility according to Company, local, state and federal regulations.
- Assure that customers are afforded the best in product selection and quality while maintaining adequate inventory control to balance purchases to sales.
- Assure the highest standards of professional conduct among all store and company personnel through effective communication with vendors, customers, corporate management, and store employees.
- Provide leadership through an example of personal integrity, appearance and ethical business practices.
- Set example and hold store management accountable for the recruiting, hiring, training, customer relations and supervision of store personnel.
- Ensure accurate self-pricing, POS coordination, allowance pass on programs, ad pricing and merchandising programs are followed within the store.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the facility.
- Responsible to maintain store, market and Company confidentiality to further our competitive edge.
- Accountable through store profit and loss statements.
- Assist and support corporate objectives and programs. Develop annual store specific goals and objectives.
- Comply with and enforce all Company policies, procedures and operational guidelines as stated in the Administrative Manual.
- Responsible for the supervision of all store employees.
- Consistently Deliver Excellent Customer Service:Maintain the highest level of Customer Service and be a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful associate not only to our customers and vendors but also being supportive and helpful to each other as Lynn’s, Inc. Team.
If a customer asks where something is please take them to the product. Greet customers as you approach them in the store, smile friendly and greet them and don’t forget to Thank them for Shopping at Lynn’s.Remember a customer is not an interruption of our work but they are the purpose of our work.
- Attend manager meetings, Buyer’s Fairs, seminars or training, Trade Shows, etc. as needed and directed by corporate management.
- Ensure employee motivation and enthusiasm is at a proper level on a daily basis. Promote a healthy, happy and safe working environment.
- Conduct store safety tour once per day.
- Ensure the completion of all government forms as authorized and display a general understanding of administering Company benefits, act as Company representative.
- Responsible for proper management of all store assets.
- Comply with all applicable safety and security policies as set by the Company, local, state and federal government.
- Perform additional duties as required by supervisor (as appropriate).
