Summary:
The Volunteer Assistant Club Hockey Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach on an as needed, part time basis.
Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Assist the head coach to run practices.
- Assist with player evaluation and the player selection process.
- Assist with planning, organizing and conducting practices.
- Assist with pre-game preparation.
- Assist with the operation of the team during the games.
- Assist with scouting and evaluation of opponents.
- Assist with the supervision of players off and on the ice.
Minimum qualifications
- Able to delegate duties to team managers as well as work in a team setting.
- General Knowledge of AAU hockey and rules and regulations.
- 1 year of hockey coaching/playing experience.
- Background check required.
