Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct resident care duties under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing bed linens.
- Promote a positive, physical, and psychosocial environment for residents.
- Prepare residents for meals and snacks, assist with eating when needed, and record food intake.
- Follow daily care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and report changes in condition to the charge nurse.
- Document care provision on resident records and report accidents and incidents.
- Understand, comply with, and promote all regulations and policies regarding resident rights.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, promoting positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators.
- Must be fully trained and able to serve as a Transportation Aide.
Requirements:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the State, preferably with one year of experience.
- High School Diploma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet physical and sensory requirements of the job, with or without accommodation.
- Successful completion of a post-offer health assessment.
