Basic Function
The Business Analyst – Salesforce is a key position in the discovery and delivery of business solutions from information technology. The Business Analyst – Salesforce, through continuous consultation with the functional areas, has a deep understanding of business operations and is capable of articulating solutions in business terms and not technical jargon. They are capable of envisioning potential value for new IT solutions. They have a deep understanding of specific business areas, and that expertise is set into a broader context of an understanding of the business processes and technical capabilities that may cross functional boundaries.
The Business Analyst – Salesforce is an individual contributor who is responsible for helping with gathering of business requirements to ensure business objectives are met by the new Digital Technology solutions and is a team member during the design, development, and execution of projects. They must ensure the full systems lifecycle process is adhered to, overseeing solutions through the entire implementation process. They must be proficient in Project Management disciplines from requirements gathering through implementation of the functional solution. The Business Analyst – Salesforce advocates for their clients and acts as the single point of contact for incident management, new services and resource allocation.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position reports to the DT Business Analyst Manager and supports other Business Analysts. They are responsible for developing and maintaining a trusted business relationship driving the greatest possible business value from DT investments.
Specific areas of responsibility and influence include :
- Partner with the key business leaders in the Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Business Development and Contracting teams and help define the vision, strategy and associated practices for the CRM application and other interfacing systems and ensure alignment with best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional developers, data scientists, cybersecurity professionals, network engineers, and program management staff to help integrate CRM strategies with broader business objectives
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that their needs are met through the delivery of high-quality IT services.
- Drive all phases of delivery and support lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, testing and support
- Proactively build good working relationships with both business and technology team members and management and have a sound understanding of key commercial processes
- Manage all aspects of ongoing maintenance operations and project execution, including on-time and on-budget delivery, efficient resource allocation and maximization of ROI
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, ensuring the selection of the best tools, technologies, and services to support CRM objectives
- Stay up to date on new Salesforce features, including Marketing Cloud, and functionality, and provide recommendations for system improvements
- Under minimal supervision, acts as a liaison between the technology and business groups in the development of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
- Tracks issues to resolution within department and in partnership with other groups.
- Work with Dev and testing teams to explain requirements, do sanity checks and review test cases
- Work closely with the Project Manager to identify dependencies and other schedule impacts of MVP deliverables as well as out-of-scope requirements.
- Manage data integrity, including data imports, exports, and data cleanup
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business operations
Min. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline with specialized leadership training and / or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and education

This position conducts business in more than 6 countries or in areas / communities that have strong, unique ethnic / cultural traditions. Domestic and international travel of 5 % is anticipated.
