Facility Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary
The Electrical Supervisor at Lyons Salt Company is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facility's electrical systems. This includes directing a team of electricians and other personnel, evaluating equipment conditions, and recommending maintenance schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs all foremen, employees, and contract maintenance to properly plan and execute maintenance of all facility assets while complying with accepted safety procedures and the union contract.
• Evaluates the conditions of all facility milling, packaging, and material handling production equipment and recommends scheduling and overseeing of major maintenance.
• Reports to the plant General Manager daily, discussing maintenance activities, production levels, and problems while providing input for solutions.
• Reviews and approves preventative maintenance, production, and other reports prepared by subordinates.
• Maintains the workplace in a manner to ensure safe operations and minimize MSHA citations.
• Monitors budget performance and directs operations to maintain acceptable variances.
• Develops and executes electrical projects or electrical portions of projects.

Requirements

• 2-5 years progressive industrial supervision experience.
• Minimum 1 year Maintenance and Reliability supervision experience.
• Strong electrical controls experience.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• PLC programming experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Journeyman/Master Electrician certification and/or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
